The Beauty of Music
Besides its beauty, music has given us an amazing gift. It has a precisely proven ability to help heal both physical and psychological problems. Listening to your favorite music does help, but playing an instrument has a greater success. It doesn’t matter if you are playing well or bad, just using one finger to plunk out a tune is sufficient—it makes you feel good. When we hear someone play or sing we feel as though we really know that person. Sometimes it takes the right piece of music, communicated by a wonderful musician, to allow someone who has been emotionally injured to heal. Music excites us, soothes us, and brings us joy.
Researchers have found that music lessons taken by young children show a different brain development and enriched memory over the course of a year compared to children who do not receive musical training.
Music is something that each person has his or her own specific opinion about. Everybody has a different taste, and various types of music have many ways of leaving an impact on someone. It can be soothing, relaxing, angering, energizing, and much more.
There are so many types of music out there today: Classical, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop, Rock, Gospel, Country, Jazz, Blues, and Children’s Music, Easy Listening, Holiday, Alternative, and much more in the world. Music sends out either good or bad messages that have big impacts on how people perform. People usually become friends with others who have a same taste in music as the rest of the people they relate with, or it can be vice versa. People may not want to associate with people who have different tastes in music because they’ll argue about what they think is better but it is just their own particular opinions.
The Chinese philosopher Confucius said “Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.” There are many benefits of playing a musical instrument. The study of music increases the general ability to learn in children and there are many theories as to why this is so. Music has the power to bring people to their feet, bring them together, separate them, or fill them with enthusiasm. It can be calming, bring one to tears, and even make one fall in love.
